Computer Repair, Networking, and Security


NEA Career & Tech Center is a CompTIA A+ Microsoft Academy.

CompTIA A+ certification is the starting point for a career in IT. Exams cover maintenance of PCs, mobile devices, laptops, operating systems, and printers.  Computer Repair, Networking, and Security courses utilize Arkansas frameworks in Computer Engineering Technology (CET) to prepare students for a career in the global computer system marketplace.

The course sequence focuses on duties and tasks performed by professionals in computer systems installation, operations, diagnostics, networking, repair, and employment skills.  Students construct, troubleshoot, service, and repair computer systems, related components, and software, and install and maintain local area networks.

Concurrent college credit is available.

Computer Repair, Networking, and Security is open to students in grades 10-12 and students will receive two to three credits upon successful completion of the course.
