Mr.Caleb Barkley

Welcome to the Criminal Justice page of the NEACTC website! I am Mr. or Officer Barkley, I was a Jonesboro Police Officer for six years. I currently am a reserve officer with the Jonesboro Police Department and this coming year will be my fourth year to teach criminal justice.

In the Criminal Justice class I attempt to give the students a realistic look at law enforcement by giving them experiences that they might confront as a patrol officer and a crime scene investigator. In this class we cover topics such as probable cause, handcuffing, firearms, use of force, traffic stops, blood spatter, evidence collection, arrests, and much more!

Below you will find some class rules that you may want to familiarize yourself with.

    1. Bring all necessary items to class daily.
    2. Be in your seat by the time the tardy bell rings or you are tardy.
    3. Do not have cell phones out or turned up to where they can be heard (e.g. ringing).
    4. Do not touch any equipment without permission.
    5. Listen and do not talk while the instructor is talking.
    6. Listen and do not talk while another student, who has permission, is talking.
    7. Do not make fun of or belittle any fellow student at any time.
    8. Bullying will not be tolerated.
    9. Leave your online drama out of my class.
