ServSafe Culinary

So...what's for lunch??

The Culinary Arts program of study provides students with knowledge and understanding of basic cooking techniques, menu planning, basic nutrition, and culinary math. In addition, Culinary Arts students are introduced to the professional kitchen and culinary applications, service, and presentation.

Students become ServSafe certified by passing certification testing prior to spending lab time in the culinary kitchen. Numerous companies seek nationally-recognized ServSafe certification.

Culinary Arts allows students to gain entry-level skills in jobs involving technology in food production, management and services. The program emphasizes knowledge of sanitation and safety, nutrition, the use and care of commercial foodservice equipment, purchasing food supplies, menu planning, and modified diets.

Certifications include Servsafe, and National Certifications of Guest Service Professional, Front Desk Representative, and Restaurant Services.  Concurrent college credit is available.
