Adobe GoPro

NEA Career & Tech Center now offers Multimedia A/V Film Technology as part of the redesigned Advertising, Graphic Arts, A/V Film program of study.  Students now create real-world video productions and multimedia presentations.

This course is designed for students interested in graphic arts, and offers opportunities to gain proficiency in Adobe  software--Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Premiere--high-end, popular computer presentation, graphics, and video editing software.  

True project based learning occurs in this course.  Students are provided with real world assignments, electronically assigned by the instructor, which allows students to progress at their own pace.  Employment opportunities and immediate income potential are available.  Students are expected to participate in state and local competition.

Students utilize new GoPro and high def video cameras, high-end SLR digital cameras, and high res flatbed scanners.  Students use Mac desktop computers to produce promotional materials for business and industry.  Students gain valuable skills needed to excel in the vast field of graphic arts including post-secondary art schools, newspapers, advertising agencies, magazines, printing, and multimedia production companies.

This course is open to students in grades 10-12; two or three credits are available through this program of study.
