Medical Procedures is a health care career-based curriculum providing lecture, laboratory, clinical, and hands-on experiences. Classes offered include Medical Procedures, Medical Terminology, Clinical Specialization, and Pathology. Proficiency in reading, spelling and logical thinking are qualifications for students. Participation in the HOSA student organization is highly encouraged.

Certification in AHA Heartsaver FIrst Aid, CPR & AED is offered to all students. Students will receive training as a Nursing Assistant in accordance with the state of Arkansas Office of Long Term Care. Upon successful completion of training, students will be eligible to test for CNA licensure. 

Students are encouraged to continue their education and training in post secondary institutions.  Concurrent college credit is available.

Above entry-level salary awaits students successfully completing the Health Science Technology program of study at NEA Career & Tech Center.
