At the completion of the course, students are able to describe the current landscape of Mobile App Development including developing team roles, the life cycle of an app and current trends in the industry. After exploring basic programming concepts, mindsets and syntax, students will begin to develop applications using algorithms.

Students will have a portfolio of Android and iOS applications created in drag & drop visual programming environments such as App Inventor and GameSalad. At the completion of the second semester, students will create a simple application using professional IDE for either an Android or iOS platform.

Concurrent college credit is available.
