Mr. Robert Tucker
Hello and welcome to the world of HVACR!

My name is Robert Tucker and I am the HVACR instructor at NEACTC.  I was born in Fort Worth, Texas (will not tell you the year!) and graduated from Montgomery High in New Jersey.  I served four years after HS graduation in the USMC.  Later, I earned an AAS degree at Delta Technical Institute.

I have held positions as an Alarm Tech, Maintenance Tech and owner of an HVAC company.  I am an HVACR contractor with a Master Electrician's license and I hold certifications in EPA Universal and EPA 410A.

I taught HVACR at Delta Technical Institute from 1992-2004.  I left Delta to start the HVACR program at NEACTC in 2004 and I have been here since that time.

Many students who enroll in HVACR learn to really like this field and decide to make it their career.  It is a great career and as time passes, you will find that HVACR technicians become more and more valued.  Older technicians are retiring and leaving many jobs to be filled by younger or new HVACR technicians.

So, why not give HVACR a try?  It is actually a lot of fun to diagnose and repair issues.  At worst case, you will end up saving THOUSANDS of dollars in your lifetime by servicing your own heating and air conditioning system and your refrigeration equipment as well.
