Step into Northeast Arkansas Career and Technical Center, where educational excellence meets passion! We proudly introduce Mr. Rhoades, embarking on his remarkable 26th year in the realm of education.

With a trailblazing journey marked by academic achievement, Mr. Rhoades boasts an impressive array of degrees: a BSE in Education, an MSE in Educational Leadership, and a Specialist Degree in Superintendency.

Before steering the ship at NEACTC, Mr. Rhoades adorned the role of principal at MacArthur Junior High, leaving a legacy of inspiration.  Beyond the corridors of academia, he's a fervent music and baseball enthusiast, frequently immersing himself in the electrifying energy of rock concerts and the thrill of the ballpark.

Yet, his truest joy lies in exploring the world alongside his cherished wife, Cindy, as they support their son, Ty, in his baseball pursuits at UALR.

A symphony of passion runs through Mr. Rhoades' veins when it comes to Career and Technical Education. The torch was passed down from his parents, both graduates of Metropolitan Vo-Tech in the 1970s, and further fueled by the wisdom of his grandparents. The value of trade education resonates deep within, guiding his commitment to shaping futures through hands-on learning.

So, welcome to a world where education is an art and passion is the driving force – where Mr. Rhoades and NEACTC intersect to illuminate the path to success!

Step right into the world of NEACTC and say hello to Mr. Garrett Barnes, the man who keeps the gears of education turning smoothly due to an impressive 13 years in the field of education.

Mr. Barnes's teaching journey is like a whirlwind adventure – from Rivercrest Jr./Sr. high school to ignite creativity at MacArthur Junior High School through EAST, he's woven his magic in classrooms all around.  His journey took an exciting twist when he became the Assistant Director at NEACTC. This marks his 6th year in this dynamic role, making sure the entire NEACTC ship sails smoothly toward success.

Degrees? Check! With a BS in Management, MSE in Building Principal, and an Ed.S, he's got the perfect recipe for academic excellence.

But wait, there's more to Mr. Barnes than the world of education.  He's a culinary wizard in his downtime, whipping up delightful dishes in his kitchen. And guess what's his ultimate masterpiece? Gumbo!

So, if you're ever looking for a recipe for success or a hearty bowl of gumbo, Mr. Barnes is your guy! With his guidance, NEACTC is not just a school – it's a place where dreams are nurtured and futures are shaped.

We believe that a strong foundation in both academics and technical expertise is the key to unlocking boundless opportunities for our students. With this philosophy at the core of our institution, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where each individual can unleash their full potential.

At NEACTC, we understand the rapidly evolving demands of the modern job market. That's why our programs are carefully crafted in collaboration with our industry partners and local business needs, not only ensuring that our students graduate with the skills that are in high demand but with connections to high-paying jobs immediately out of high school. Whether it's in technology, engineering, healthcare, automotive, or any other field we offer, we aim to prepare our students for success in a competitive world.
