2023-2024 SkillsUSA Officers Announced!
For President, we have Zachary Watlington. Zachary is a third-year student at NEACTC and is currently in Mr. West's Advanced Manufacturing class. Zachary is also a member of NEACTC's 1st Robotics Team, a previous member of SkillsUSA, and the JHS Chess Club. Zachary is a senior from Jonesboro High School.The President is responsible for assembling an agenda for chapter meetings, chairing chapter meetings, and working with staff and students on organizing monthly service projects as well as membership events.
The Vice President is Lillyan Farmer. Lillyan is a first-year student at NEACTC and is enrolled in Mr. Ingle's Medical Professions class. Lillyan is a junior at Paragould High School where she is in the Gifted & Talented program, Chess Club, Odyssey of the Mind, and volunteers with the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Lillyan plans on joining Mrs. Nance's CNA program next school year as a senior. The Vice President is to assist the President on all of their duties as well as fill in for the President during any absences.
NEACTC's Secretary for the 2023-2024 school year is Adrionna Dollison. Adrionna is a member of the Jonesboro Mayor's Youth Advancement Council (MYAC) and the Crown Club. Adrionna is a first-year NEACTC student and is enrolled in Mr. Ingle's Medical Professions class. She is a junior at Jonesboro High School. The Secretary is responsible for taking minutes during all chapter meetings, providing the Reporter with information to post to social media and the chapter's Group Me, and assisting staff in ensuring all of our chapter's paperwork/documentation is sent to and received from members in a timely manner.
Our Treasurer is Aisley Moss. Aisley is a second-year student at NEACTC and is enrolled in both Welding & Fabrication with Mr. Laxton as well as Mr. Ingle's Medical Professions class. Aisley is also active in the Crown Club, Beta Club, softball, bowling, and is in the Honor Graduate track. She is a junior at Jonesboro High School. The Treasurer's role is to work with staff on filing all receipts from members, receiving donations to our chapter from industry partners and private individuals, and organizing fundraising events for our chapter and its members.
For Reporter, we have Na'Kiyah Logan. Na'kiyah is a first-year student at NEACTC and is enrolled in Mr. Ingle's Medical Professions class. She is a 10th grader at Jonesboro High School. As the reporter, Na'Kiyah will be responsible for obtaining media and information to make engaging social media posts, assisting staff with event reminder posts for our chapter, preparing press releases for local media outlets, and helping to promote various chapter events and activities.
The final officer position for the 2023-2024 school year is Parliamentarian. Our Parliamentarian is Cale Landrum. Cale is a second-year student at NEACTC and is enrolled in Mr. Ingle's Medical Professions class. He is a senior at Nettleton High School. As the Parliamentarian, Cale will be responsible for learning Robert's Rule of Order, ensuring fellow officers and members follow parliamentary procedure during meetings, and competing in any SkillsUSA-affiliated parliamentary procedure competitions.
NEACTC's official SkillsUSA Recruitment Week is September 11-15, 2023 and its first monthly service project, thanks to Mr. Chase Smith, will be September 29th with the United Way of Northeast Arkansas's "Day of Caring".
