Central Continuum Connects Students with Central Dealerships
The Central Continuum is a new 5-phase pathway to train, promote, and connect students with various job opportunities with the Central Dealerships of Jonesboro. This partnership is made possible by Central's Brandee Roberson and Zach Gartman. Phase 1 begins with providing students in Automotive Service and Automotive Collision with manufacturer specific training modules as well as prerequisite shop skills that each instructor assigns and oversees for mastery by students. Phase 2 includes a thorough tour of all the Central Dealerships' facilities from sales, parts, service, collision, and beyond. Today's tour completed Phase 2 of the continuum. The next phase will include additional manufacturer modules and advanced shop skills that will equip instructors with the ability to recommend students to shadow a Central technician. Students who perform well during their shadow may be eligible for an internship with Central Dealerships with the ultimate goal being offered a job at one of Central's amazing facilities. NEACTC is proud of this targeted pathway and is using the Central Continuum as a pilot to provide other organizations and companies with a similar approach to identifying and hiring skilled young workers to stay right here in Northeast Arkansas and help grow their operations!
