Engineering Design & Production Lab

CNC  SolidWorks Drill

Engineering Design & Production Lab (formerly Advanced Manufacturing) is a program of study that introduces students to a variety of technology and equipment used in the high-tech world of modern manufacturing.

In this program, students will use technology to design, model, build and prove their own concepts, as well as other projects for industry.  The equipment we utilize on a daily basis includes 3-D printers, 3-D scanners, CNC lathes and CNC machining centers with up to 5-axis capability.  Also included in this vast program of study are CNC laser and plasma cutting machines.

A good mathematics background is recommended for this program of study.
Students will be introduced to the following software in Advanced Manufacturing: Fusion360, CorelDraw, Adobe Suite, Intelitek Benchmill 6100, Immerse2learn, Mastercam, Autodesk Inventor, FeatureCam, NC-Simul, Torchmate CadCam, Photolaser Plus, Esprite, Inkscape and Solidworks.

Graduates obtaining advanced skills in Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) machinery WILL obtain lucrative positions in the local and global marketplace.

Thirty computer work stations and simulators with comprehensive and modern engineering, modeling and design software allows creation of items beyond mere imagination.  In fact, our lab utilizes the same equipment found at top-tier universities and laboratories around the world, enabling our students to build components used by NASA on the International Space Station!

Our digital manufacturing lab is truly a place where you can take any item from concept to prototype.  In our lab you will only be limited by your very own imagination!

Certifications offered:  Feature Cam, Cad/Cam, Fusion 360 Cad/Cam, Immerse2Learn (HAAS), HAAS CNC Lathe 1st & 2nd year, HAAS CNC Mill 1st & 2nd year, NIMS  Level I & II CNC Mill, NIMS Level I & II CNC Lathe.
