Computer Science - Networking is open to students in grades 10-12 and students will receive two credits (shift 1) or three credits (shifts 2 & 3) upon successful completion of the course.
Computer Science - Networking prepares students for careers in computer technology. The course sequence focuses on duties and tasks performed by professionals in the computer support field, as well as pre-employment and employment skills. Students learn to construct, troubleshoot, service, and repair computer systems and related components. They will also learn to install software and maintain local area networks (LAN). Critical in today's world, students learn about security threats and how to protect against them.
Certifications offered: PC Pro Certification, Network Pro Certification, Security Pro Certification, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA Network+.
