Corvette Plant Tour
Corvette Plant Tour
Corvette Plant Tour
Posted on 01/18/2017
Bowling Green, Kentucky - The second time is a charm. Or so says Jeff Smith, Auto Collision instructor, referring to select second year completer students in the AC program of study invited for the tours and trip.
Four students traveled to visit nationally recognized auto assembly plants along with Smith and students attending Black River Technical College in Pocahontas. First stop in Bowling Green Kentucky featured a tour of the Corvette assembly plant.
Representing NEACTC were (left to right in photo)
MacKenzie Butler and
Harley Earls (Greene County Tech),
Humberto Lopez and Carlos Hernandez (Jonesboro).
Students learned of the numerous positions required to assemble an automobile.
Assembly plants are supplied with individual parts from across the globe. Technicians then work in stages to assemble an auto and finally, it's test drive time.
On the return trip home, students also toured the Nissan assembly plant in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Special thanks to Mr. Butch Dail, BRTC AC instructor for providing transportation. BRTC, we appreciate your support!
