Mrs. Pam Nance – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor, NEACTC
With over 40 years of experience in the healthcare field, Mrs. Pam Nance brings unmatched knowledge, compassion, and real-world expertise to the CNA program at NEACTC. Her journey from Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse is a testament to her dedication, resilience, and love for patient care.
Mrs. Nance began her career at Delta Vo-Tech and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Throughout her decades-long career, she has served in a wide variety of roles—from med-surg nursing and emergency care to dialysis clinic management and veteran healthcare administration. She’s also skilled in radiology and telemetry, having truly worn many hats in the nursing world.
Now in the classroom, Mrs. Nance is passionate about mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in empathy, engagement, and effort. She believes learning should be hands-on, supportive, and accessible. That’s why she focuses on in-class learning and keeps expectations simple: just give it your best.
Mrs. Nance creates a classroom culture where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. In her words, “You have to try hard to fail”—because she’s committed to helping each student succeed if they’re willing to try.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Nance is known for her great sense of humor and joyful spirit. She loves a good laugh, especially when watching bloopers, and brings that same positive energy into her classroom every day.

Get ready to take the first step towards an incredible healthcare career with the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program of study at NEA Career & Tech Center! This curriculum is specifically designed to provide you with an engaging and interactive learning experience, combining classroom discussions, laboratory work, clinical practice, and hands-on training.
Throughout the program, you'll dive into a variety of classes that will build your knowledge and skills in the medical field. From Medical Professions and Medical Terminology to Clinical Specialization and Pathology, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of essential healthcare concepts. Strong reading, spelling, and logical thinking abilities are key qualifications for success in this program.
Upon successful completion of the program, you'll receive training as a certified nursing assistant in accordance with the state of Arkansas Office of Long Term Care. This certification will open doors to exciting career opportunities as a CNA. Furthermore, you'll be eligible to test for CNA licensure, solidifying your qualifications as a healthcare professional.
While the CNA program provides you with a strong foundation, we also encourage you to consider further education and training in post-secondary institutions after high school graduation. Continuing your studies will expand your career prospects and provide you with even greater opportunities within the healthcare field.

Articulated College Credit
- Offered at no cost through ASUN (Arkansas State University - Newport).
- Concurrent Credit: Earn credit alongside your classroom work—no extra assignments required!
Year One Students
- Total College Credit Available: Up to 8 hours
- Eligible Courses:
- CPR & First Aid: 1 hours
- Certified Nursing Assistant: 7 hours
- Certificate of Proficiency: Student who complete all eligible credit hours will receive a Certificate of Proficiency Degree in Certified Nursing Assistant.
Certifications
The certifications that we currently offer in our CNA program are the following: CNA Certified Nursing Assistant, BLS First Aid, CPR & AED.
